Why am I always tired?
Start with the obvious and unglamorous: most chronic tiredness is a sleep quantity or regularity problem wearing a disguise. Seven-plus hours on a consistent schedule for two weeks is the first experiment, and it is free.
If genuine rest does not fix it, the common medical culprits are worth ruling out with a doctor: sleep apnea, which affects tens of millions of Americans and mostly goes undiagnosed, especially in people who snore; iron deficiency, thyroid problems, and vitamin D or B12 deficiency, all findable with basic bloodwork; and depression, where fatigue is often the loudest symptom.
One pattern worth naming: waking unrefreshed after a full night, every night, is not normal adult life. It is a symptom, and it is treatable more often than tired people believe.
The usual suspects, in order: not enough sleep, irregular sleep, untreated sleep apnea, low iron or thyroid issues, and depression. If rest never refreshes you, that is a doctor visit, not a vitamin.
