How do you take a screenshot?
On Windows, press Windows key + Shift + S, then drag a box around what you want; it copies to your clipboard and offers a save prompt. Print Screen alone captures the whole screen, and Windows key + Print Screen saves a full capture straight to your Screenshots folder.
On a Mac, Command + Shift + 4 turns the cursor into crosshairs for a selection, Command + Shift + 3 grabs the whole screen, and Command + Shift + 5 opens a control panel with options including screen recording. Captures land on the desktop by default.
On phones: iPhone, press the side button and volume up together. Most Androids, power and volume down together. And on either computer, adding the Control key (Windows) or Control with the shortcut (Mac) sends the shot to the clipboard instead of a file, which is faster when you are just pasting it into a chat.
Windows: press Windows key + Shift + S and drag over what you want. Mac: Command + Shift + 4. Whole screen: Print Screen on Windows, Command + Shift + 3 on Mac.
